Monday, July 8th – Opening Night Kick-Off

Join us for opening night of the 82nd year of the Lexington Junior League Charity Horse Show at the Kentucky Horse Park's Rolex Stadium.  Food, drinks, shopping, and more!   There is no morning session, and the evening session begins at 6:30 p.m.

Tuesday, July 9th – Family Night

  • Morning Session at 9:00 a.m.  Evening Session at 6:30 p.m. 

  • FREE Bounce House, Face Painting, and Pony Rides!  Free bounce houses, face painting, and pony rides will be available for all children in attendance.

  • Stick Horse Race: at 6:30 PM - Rolex Stadium. All children are invited to participate in our annual Stick Horse Race!  Entry fees are $5 per child,* online registration available here (scroll down to the bottom for stick horse race tickets) or on-site at the Junior League Boutique-registration will close at 6:15pm.  Every child who participates will go home with a blue ribbon!  Please bring your own stick horse, we look forward to seeing how each horse is decorated.  The Horse Park's American Saddlebred Museum & Gift Shop Booth will also have a limited quantity of stick horses available for purchase located in the Gaited Gallery area of the Rolex Arena.

*Entry fees for the Stick Horse Race are separate from admission to the Horse Show.  General admission to the Horse Show is free for children six and under.  For older children and adults, general admission is $5 (M-Th) and $10 (Fri/Sat).  General admission tickets will be available for purchase at the Horse Show entry gate. 

Wednesday, July 10th -- Military & First Responder Appreciation Day

  • Morning Session at 9:00 a.m.  Evening Session at 5:30 p.m. 
  • Showing Appreciation to Our Heroes:  Free general admission to all active and retired members of the military and fire, police, and EMTs with valid identification. All military and first responders will be recognized during the show.
  • Kentucky Horse Park Mounted Police Demonstration:  The KHP Mounted Police will present a special demonstration given by Kentucky Horse Park's Mounted Police-featuring their own Oliver, Breyer Fests' 2019 Celebration Horse. Oliver is Captain Lisa Rakes' equine partner, and is an 11 year old Shire cross. He's been apart of the mounted police family for six years-it's his large statue and friendly personality that make him a favorite. 

Thursday, July 11th -- Paint the Show Pink & Sustainer Dinner

  • Morning Session at 9:00 a.m.  Evening Session at 6:30 p.m. 
  • Paint the Horse Show Pink:  Wear your best pink to raise awareness about the fight against breast cancer! 
  • Silent Auction:  Come ready to shop and support the Junior League of Lexington-it'll be a silent auction you won't want to miss.  
  • Sustainer Dinner:  This annual event will be held at the Rolex Arena.  Tickets are $30.  To attend, please RSVP by July 1, 2017 to Sustainer President Kriste Blumetti or purchase your ticket here (scroll down to bottom of page.)

Friday, July 12th  Morning and Evening Classes

  • Morning Session at 10:30 a.m.
  • Evening Session at 6:30 p.m. 
  • College Night FREE General Admission to Intercollegiate Saddle Seat Riding Association members with valid student ID.

Saturday Morning, July 13th – Sixth Annual Charity Dog Show

Bring out your pup and join us at the Sixth Annual Charity Dog Show!  The Dog Show is a just-for-fun event open to all types of dogs, and different “classes” will compete for bragging rights. On-site registration will be open starting at 12pm and the dog show will begin approximately 1pm. 

  • Class Schedule:
    • Class 1:  Puppy Class (up to 12 months old)
    • Class 2:  Costume Class
    • Class 3:  Junior Handlers (under age 18)
    • Class 4:  Mutt (non-pedigree)
    • Class 5:  Lap Dog (dogs sitting in laps)
    • Class 6:  Pedigree
    • Class 7:  Trick Dog
    • Class 8:  Senior Dog (age 10 and older)
    • Class 9:  Open & Amateur Dog Championship (must have shown in another class) 
  • Entry Fees: 
    • Classes 1 to 8:  $5
    • Class 9:  $10   (1st place wins $50.  2nd place wins $25.  Plus, surprise doggie treats!) 

Saturday Evening, July 14th – Championship Night

It's what we've been working toward all week!  Come out and celebrate with us!  Evening classes begin at 6:30 p.m.
