Monday, July 3^rd – Opening Night Kick Off

• Join us for the 81^st year of the Charity Horse Show at the historic Red Mile.  Food, drinks, shopping, and more! 
•  Evening Session (6:30 PM)

Tuesday, July 4^th – Family Night

• Stick Horse Race (5:30 PM) - $5 per entry
  • Sign up at the gate.  Don’t forget your stick horse!  Stick Horses will also be available for purchase at the Junior League Boutique in Gaited Gallery.
• Bounce House, Face Painting and FREE pony rides with admission.  Bring the whole family out for fun!
• Morning Session (9 AM)
• Evening Session (5:30 PM)

Wednesday, July 5th – Honoring our Heroes & First Responders

• All military service and first responding men and women receive FREE admission.
•  Morning Session (9 AM)
• Evening Session (5:30 PM)

Thursday, July 6^th – Paint the Red Mile Pink & Solstice Retirement Party

•  Paint the Red Mile Pink
  • Wear pink to raise awareness about the fight against breast cancer.
• Solstice Retirement Party
  • Help us celebrate the retirement of the Grand Champion horse, Solstice.  Live Music by Tony and the Tan Lines
• Morning Session (9 AM)
• Evening Session (6:30 PM)

Friday, July 7^th – Exhibitor Party

• Join us to celebrate our 81 years at the Red Mile with live music in the infield by The Big Maracas.  Free Admission to the party!
• Morning Session (9 AM)
• Evening Session, Thursday Night Classes have been moved to tonight at 6:30 (Friday night sessions will now be held at 3:00 on Saturday, see below!)

Saturday, July 8^th – 4^th Annual Dog Show, New Venue Tour & Championship Night

• 4^th Annual Dog Show (10 AM) @ The Red Mile by the Round Barn
  • Open to all mutts, senior dogs, pedigree dogs, and dogs of all kinds!  Different “classes” will compete for blue ribbons and bragging rights.
  • Doggie bags with treats for 1st place winners
  • List the classes:
  • 1. Puppy (age 12 months and under)
  • 2. Costume
  • 3. Mutt
  • 4. Lap Dog
  • 6. Pedigree
  • 7. Trick Dog
  • 8. Senior Dogs (age 10 and over)
  • 9. Open and Amateur
  • Entry fee is $5 for class 1-8 and $10 for class 9

• 11 AM – 2 PM – Kentucky Horse Park’s Rolex Stadium Tour Provided by Horse Show Manager Kent Moeller & Ladies from the 2018 Horse Show Board

  You’re Invited!  The ladies of the Lexington Junior League Charity Horse Show Board invite you to come out to the Kentucky Horse Park on Saturday, July 8th, anytime from 11 AM – 2 PM to tour the Rolex Stadium, the site of the 82nd Charity Horse Show.  Show Manager Kent Moeller will be there to answer questions, as well as the 2018 Horse Show Chair and 2018 Boxes Chair.  Light refreshments will be provided.  Look for Kent and the Ladies at the entrance to the Rolex Stadium and for updates on the Horse Show Facebook page as to their set-up location with the refreshments. 

  Click Here to view a map of the Kentucky Horse Park.  The Rolex Stadium is the letter “K” on the map and we recommend parking in the lot labeled “TP” if you are not able to drive right up to the stadium itself.  Check our Facebook page on Saturday morning for real-time updates.
