Are you moving to the Lexington area and presently a member of another Junior League? We would like to have you as part of our membership! The Junior League of Lexington welcomes members who wish to transfer their membership from another League due to a change in residence.
No member shall at any one time be a member of more than one (1) Junior League. A member in good standing who is subject to a change in residence can be granted transfer status and privileges.
Transfer status is obtained and defined as follows:
- Any Provisional, Active or Sustaining Member, in good standing, of a Junior League may transfer membership to another Junior League.
- A member who transfers to another Junior League shall be granted the status consistent with the specifications of membership categories of the receiving Junior League.
- A Provisional member who transfers has the right to complete the training for effective community and Junior League involvement as determined by the receiving Junior League.
- The privilege of Transfer need not extend to a person who has been dropped or expelled from membership by the Junior League to which the Transfer is desired.
*If you wish to transfer into the Junior League of Lexington and are a member in good standing in another league, you need to send a request in writing to the Corresponding Secretary of your home league. She will then complete the necessary papers to transfer your membership to the Junior League of Lexington. Once our Corresponding Secretary has received your transfer information from your home league, she will contract you with information about the Junior League of Lexington.
