2024 Centennial Celebration

2024 is a very special year for our League. Why? Because it marks the 100th Anniversary of the Junior League of Lexington!

In 1924, our charter members saw an opportunity to make a difference. Through the combined energy and vision of our membership over the last 100 years, our League has truly made a difference in the Lexington community. Through the fundraising efforts of the Horse Show and Holly Day Market, through the historic preservation of the Bodley-Bullock House, and through the countless hours spent serving our community, each of you inspire and transform the lives of those in the Bluegrass through your devoted service and generosity. And like the women who preceded us, we approach the future with happy anticipation of a Junior League of Lexington that will continue to make a difference well into the future.

Please mark your calendars for the biggest celebration of our centennial celebration: our Junior League of Lexington Centennial Gala to be held on Friday, November 8, 2024 at the Campbell House.

The 1924 Society is the Junior League of Lexington's new milestone giving society. Since our founding in 1924, the women of the Junior League of Lexington have served the greater Lexington community through volunteerism, philanthropy and historic preservation. Your gift will support the League's ongoing projects and operational expenses to ensure the future of our organization for the next generation.

Individuals who make gifts of $1,924 will be recognized as Founding Members, while those who make gifts of $1,000 will be recognized as Legacy Members of this prestigious society. Gifts can also be broken into monthly installments. 1924 Society membership offers:

  • Recognition on the Junior League of Lexington website, in The Bloom and on a plaque that will hang in the Bodley-Bullock House.
Acknowledgment at all Centennial events throughout the year.
  • Invitation to a special reception at the conclusion of the Centennial year.
  • Founding Members will also receive a special gift of appreciation.
